Biosciences

Biosciences at ASU improve human health and quality of life through use-inspired biosystems research and effective multidisciplinary partnerships.

For example:

  • ASU’s Biodesign Institute is engaged in innovations toward rapid vaccine discovery and development. The platform will be universal in its methods requiring only the pathogen of interest to tailor the vaccine to the disease.
  • The Arizona-based Partnership for Personalized Medicine, which includes ASU’s Biodesign Institute, TGen (Phoenix) and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Seattle), is the first international collaboration with the government of Luxembourg.
  • Biomedical Informatics (BMI) in the Desert – A New and Unique Program at ASU – is an integral component of the partnership with The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.
